Polishing, waxing and "detailling" a B-25 and B-24

A poster at WIX shared this thread by the Meguiar's car car people of a recent job they had "detailing" the B-24 "Witchcraft" and the B-25 "Tondelayo". It sure made a difference to that paintwork, and they look great now, but it perhaps destroyed the authentic patina.

I am sure some will disagree and it is each to their own, much
prefer to see warbirds weathered and more war weary looking.

Wonder if they checked out if both machines were more slippery
after a polish, you would think it would make a difference!?
