Nice job. A flapless approach too (probably due to the hydraulic failure) which would limit the damage to the flaps.

Nice job. A flapless approach too (probably due to the hydraulic failure) which would limit the damage to the flaps. But increase the approach speed which means a longer "slide" - well controlled that man! Well done. Let's hope there is not too much damage done on the gentle landing other than gravel rash which in most cases is easily repaired/replaced. From a video I saw of the approach and landing, he came in nice and low and flat then pulled the nose up slightly, nice and stable and then slowed the engines thrust back just at the threshold, beautifully controlled and executed for a rear touchdown first. I don't claim to be a pilot but it appeared well thought out and with some real skills applied.

The Sea Vixen made it's forced landing at Yeovilton, after a display at Duxford. isc
