Its the old story, you own it you paint it any colour you want. Why a bare fuselage and gold wings is a bit strange, either contrast with another colour or all gold with some trim lines at least. Yellow looks better than gold (in my opinion) and there have been a few of those.

It's probably prettier than the PLAIN SILVER P-51 Mustang which was flown at airshows in New Zealand during the 1960s.
