There's a Reno air race game for iPhone that has customisable paint schemes and adjustable metallic colours, this one would fit quite well in there!
The cockpit even seems to match - very 1960s executive - and there aren't any gunports.

This reminds me of an old saying something along the lines of "You don't see the mantle when your stoking the fire" (I believe usually referring to another form of recreation!) But hey its a Mustang, I would happily hop in the drivers seat.

This was an estate sale a while back that had sat in a hangar unused for 10 or more years. I think it sold for about US$850k.
Now all tidied up with lots of new equipment in it and they didn't change the paint scheme. There were lots of nice civil paint schemes for Mustangs in the 60's and 70's. Cavalier did a nice one that was black all over with white cheat lines.
For the price of this Mustang, you can pick up a nice Mustang and have 700k in your pocket!

The paint scheme for the Cal P-51 that went to auction was different. Must have gone past that hangar a dozen times and never knew of the treasure hiding therein !
