I hope this is not true..... But today I was told a certain large Ag company is sending 10 - 15 surplus Fletchers off to the crusher rather than leave them in circulation. Sounds like sick corporate mentality .

I think you would be surprised. At Gore alone for example there are currently 5 Fletcher airframes in a non flying state.

I thought the only North Island place with a bunch of nonflying Fletchers literally bulldozed them for scrap about a year ago.
And, of course, I have no money for the bits I need.

As much as I like them they are very old,even the youngest ones are over 35 years old and they have some safety issues.I think its just the cold hard reality they have come to the end of the line.
