While trolling through my collection of old photos, I found some that fit the above category. So as time goes on, I will post a few into this thread, and, Dave, if there is a better fit, feel free to move this thread. Open Day Taieri 1952Mosquito Dakota B170 by Les Billcliff, on Flickr From an open day at Taieri. The second Mosquito is NZ2338, while the Dakota is NZ3543. RNZAF photo Open Day Taieri 1952 Vampire Mustang Harvard Tiger Moth by Les Billcliff, on Flickr Another from the same day.Vampires are NZ5727 and 5724, Mustang NZ2422. No other serials visible. Note the Oxford in the hangar. Also RNZAF Ohakea 16 Sep 1950 Mosquito NZ2328 by Les Billcliff, on Flickr Not totally convinced on the location of this one, although it is an Ohakea negative. Only aircraft identifiable is Mosquito NZ2328. Dakota formation RNZAC Pageant Mangere 18-20 Mar 1949 by Les Billcliff, on Flickr As the caption states, Dakota formation at Mangere. Interestingly, the notes on the back of the print states that it is a "Mosquito Flypast"! Whites.

Thanks, guys. I feel that too much of our history is locked away in private collections. Some time ago, I started going through my own photos and also negatives and slides with a view to putting the more interesting ones onto this forum, along with older photos I have acquired. With the loss of PB, and my move to flickr, I have found it easier to post onto the forum. So over the coming months I will either set up new threads, try to revive some of the old ones, or add to the "piles".

Well done - you got it.
Have some more ready to go shortly, but also have a project to undertake for my Lions Club - administration stuff, but someone has to do it!

That's a nice low Harvard. Fancy it getting beaten by an old English tank though

From memory two RAAF Mirages came in - one made a low pass and then went very low to Lancaster Park where NZ v Australia cricket test match was on. The other went vertical and just disappeared against the deep blue sky!

Some really good photos there, I must get off my ass and sort out my photos from the glory days of the Wigrams wings and wheels weekends. Also I've got some photo's of a wartime convoy in Wellington from my grandfathers box brownie and my great uncles time with 3Div as well.
Then there are my ones from my operations I've done along with a few exercise one's as well
Please keep this up
