Seems a while since the RNZAF museum have aquired anything. I guess they have been busy with Oxford and P40. Any idea of any future projects? I guess a Bell 47 may become avaliable soon?

A mossie would be good. I'd still love to see a Dauntless intact, I'd never dream of suggesting their one get rebuilt as I feel that would be sacrilege, but even just a fibreglass replica? I'm sure someone would be up to the task. And do they have an Airtrainer? I didnt see one when I was there in September.

The museum has a CT-4B, It was tucked under the wing of the Bristol freighter in the storage hangar when I was there last year. additional aircraft in the museum are great, but how about a building to display the ones they have got a bit better? for example the Beautiful avenger restoration which is now back in the storage hangar getting bird bombed.... likewise space to make it worthwhile to put the Canberra B8 back together and a dummy frigate deck for the Wasp and seasprite.

The Avenger moves back and forth from Hangar 1 to hangar 3 quite often. It's easy to shift and store I guess.

How much of a mozzie do they have? Are Ferymead still working on their example?

Beags, it is a genuine ex-USAF O-2. I don't know if any Kiwis flew it in Vietnam, or whether the aircraft even served in Vietnam at all.
It's still got all the radio racks in the rear of it.
If you have any time free, I'd recommend doing the restoration hangar tour at Wigram.

Restoration hangar tour is awesome . You can ring and ask what time the tour is , and turn up just before . I have many more photos from there , than the actual museum

Apparently the extensions to the Wigram Museum has begun, or at least to the archives. Can anyone confirm?
