I'm writing from the restaurant at IWM Duxford. I know quite a few of you have been here, but for those of you who haven't, you must come here at least once. As I typed that last sentence the TR9 Spitfire did a low pass. The Hurricane and Mk XV Spitfire are also going up regularly. Seeing them in their natural habitat, overflying the English countryside is something else. EDIT: Sorry about the broken link all, posting to the forum from my phone is problematic. Now that I am on my laptop I'm in a position to fix things. I've created an iCloud album specifically for the Duxford part of my UK visit, the link is here. Enjoy.

Me neither. I agree Duxford should be on your bucket list. I visited in 2007 and would love to go back for a flying weekend.

It would not even open when I clicked the link the other day, but your version opened OK, Ray, thanks.

You need to visit once for the museum and again for the flying displays. Flying Legends is on my bucket list but getting flights and accommodation is pretty expensive in July, maybe next time for me. Another tip is to have two full days free for the museum as the 8 hangars take a while to go through. If you get the chance to attend the free talks given by the volunteers then I highly recommend you do so. I got to hear from someone who'd lived through the Blitz.
