Anyone heard any more on this topic, such as what has become of Paul Davidson who had pretty much thrown everything he had at project in terms of effort and commitment, and what brought about the offer of sale etc?

Joe - SAE was sold by Safe to the Argosy Trust in 1991
denys - Not too sure of the exact details Gavin, Al or another local may be able to shed more light on the scene but I believe Paul is joining the population drain to Australia, he's unfortunately been given the run around by the local council - someone at council didn't see eye to eye and things got worse, its apparently changed now but its too late for Paul .... if anyone buys it they should fare a little better.
One of the problems was the argosy's location in a 100kph zone - which has since been moved futher up the road with the argosy now being inside the Base Woodbourne 80kph zone, eliminating this issue.
