from the Daily Mail• Air to the throne: 100 years of Royal flight celebratedI notice the following photograph in that article.... Edward Prince of Wales took delivery of this DH.83 Fox Moth in 1932. Between 1929 and 1935 Edward VIII purchased 13 aircraft and he officially formed the King's Flight in 1936 upon his short-lived ascension to the throne at a time when passenger flying was still in its infancy.I presume that is the Fox Moth which became ZK-AEK in New Zealand?

Yes, indeed, it was ZK-AEK (twice). It was also registered at one time in Belgium as OO-EMC and spent time in Fiji as VQ-FAT and I believe it is now CF-YPM. It began life as G-ACAJ however following a 1943 accident was rebuilt with a new fuselage and registered G-ACDD. That's about all I can add at this point as I'm 6000k away from my other home where all my archives are stored however I'm sure Peter (Lewis) will be able to add much more.
