I left Cambridge at 17 and joined the RNZAF at Wigram where I did my Basic training, I worked on C130's at Auckland carrying out group servicings,  then 1 squadron, 3 Squadron, 5 Sqn and PTS in Wigram and Rotary wing at Wigram and exited in 1993 after 20 years, the next almost 25 years I am working at Air New Zealand heavy maintenance in Christchurch
