The NZBCA has recently provided some photographs to the museum at RAF Westcott where 11 OTU trained so many Kiwis. They are a member of the Airfields Of Britain Trust who have now contacted me asking if WONZ members have any shots of other UK airfields.
They are so far relying on IWM pictures for their records but would welcome private photos, especially those showing buildings , features and the different roles an airfield was used for.
The objective is to add to an on line data base to encourage visits and support the preservation of key parts of wartime airfields which are now under great threat from developers.
