Great show but a huge pity that the TAF wind came as expected and prevented the FW190, P.40, Spit and Hurricane from flying. The two Mustangs and the Avenger flew a few times as did all the rest however it was decided that the wind, varying approx. 15 degrees and about 15 knots in gusts up to the 28kts predicted, was too much of a risk to put the major fighters in the air. Disappointing but totally understandable and when someone with just a smidge short of 34,000 hrs says no then its no............Temora this coming weekend. Had to choose and so annoyed that it was either Wanaka or miss out on the possibility of Legends.......then its Parkes, Bathurst, (think Coffs Harbour is cancelled) Temora, Wings over Illawarra then off to Ragley Hall in UK for the first planned trip of three........,

I saw photos on Facebook yesterday of the Hurricane and 190 flying together in a dark sky, they must have been taken the day before?

Yes. Previous day. They were supposed to practice at about 1130am however events conspired against that and it was not until late that afternoon that they finally managed it. Looked great together and we changed the programme to incorporate that separate formation
