Newbie question sorry. I have a bunch of WW2 Pacific S.U. photos I want to share. I can scan them but how do I share them from there? I have searched the forum and the help menu. One suggestion was to use a site like flickr which I started to use but i still cant seem to get any images directly on to a post, only a link to the flickr album. Another suggestion was an "add attachmant" button but I can't seem to find that on a post page? The same goes for images from a phone, can they be directly shared to a post? Thanks and sorry as this subject has probably been discussed previously!

Go to the Flickr page for the photo you want to share. Click on the Share Photo symbol to the right and just below the photo itself (it is an arrow going up and to the right). This brings up a new box.
Select 'BBCode' on the top row. Choose the size of the photo you want to put in the forum.
Copy the long string of code that it provides (starts with "[url...")
Paste that into a forum post.

Thanks for that ErrolC, can make sense of it now. Will try to get them up tomorrow. Further research reveals the bbcode can't be accessed on Flickr from a mobile, which sux for sharing on the go! Is there another photo sharing site or app that will allow that from a mobile?

Yeah, Flickr has been under-maintained for a while. New owners now, so hopefully will improve. This link let's you embed Flickr. tools.rackonly.com/Or if you start a thread hete and include the link to the album, I can do a post that embeds the photos (if you have set Flickr to allow that). |
