This article from Cambridge's newspaper, the Waikato Independent, talks about a Cambridge chap who joined the Royal Flying Corps. As Norman Willian Ingham Hodgson was born on the 14th of April 1916, it can only mean the Royal Air Force.

-- does anyone have any detail on his RAF career?
-- does anyone have any detail on his career with Phillip and Powis (which became Miles Aircraft in 1943)?
-- Were the four Magister Hawks referred to the four Hawk Majors that came here in the 1930's?
-- And were they really built for the New Zealand Air Force? adf.serials suggest otherwise.
