This article from Cambridge's newspaper, the Waikato Independent, talks about a Cambridge chap who joined the Royal Flying Corps. As Norman Willian Ingham Hodgson was born on the 14th of April 1916, it can only mean the Royal Air Force.
What I'd like to know is:- -- does anyone have any detail on his RAF career? -- does anyone have any detail on his career with Phillip and Powis (which became Miles Aircraft in 1943)? -- Were the four Magister Hawks referred to the four Hawk Majors that came here in the 1930's? -- And were they really built for the New Zealand Air Force? adf.serials suggest otherwise.
