Lockheed 12A NC14999, formerly owned by Pat Donovan and based for a while at Omaka has been involved in a landing incident in Belgium. All aboard reported as OK but probably some panel-beating and upholstery cleaning required. www.tvl.be/nieuws/vliegtuig-crasht-na-landing-in-zwartberg-61833Forward the video to about 1:30

Very unfortunate! There are posts about it on WIX and Key, not the nicest news for me to read first thing in the morning! I hope its next return to the air is swift.

Gusty cross-wind it appears, then sudden full left rudder deflection as the tail came down...

I saw a similar accident with the Sea Fury at Paraparaumu many years ago. loss of brakes sharp turn onto the old cross runway but still have movement when the private homebuilt hangar arrested the landing role. When Pat had the machine is was immaculately restored on the inside

Oh dear, not good to see but assuming that hangar door did most of the arresting work that might have actually saved it from anything deeper than panel damage, hopefully. Glad to hear all ok.
