Another Spitfire Restoration at Duxford

Yesterday saw the return of Mk 22 Spitfire PK624 after ten years of storage. PK624 will join TFC's Mk XVIII on the production line once some repair work has been carried out on the rear fuselage.

Wonderful stuff Rob, thanks for the report. It would certainly make a nice addition to the world Spitfire flying population when it's restored.

What's the history of this aircraft? Was it a rescued gate guardian?
