Having had a very close up encounter with this Bird (N703) at Lake Hood in Anchorage back in June...I thought it only appropriate to recreate it in 1/72. see www.goosehangar.com/This is the Sword Kit which I have already built a few times in Mount Cook, Sea Bee and Pacific Coastal markings. A pretty good model, but requires some hacking and filling etc...This has usually involved chopping off the wingtips and trying to recreate retractable floats... ...However... This one is pretty genuine, apart from the 3 bladed props (sourced from a cannibalized OV-10). Apparently, its the only original rag wing Goose in existence! The external long range tanks are quite unique (created here from 1000lb bombs 1 by Harry Follas, on Flickr IMG_6479 by Harry Follas, on Flickr IMG_6482 by Harry Follas, on Flickr IMG_6481 by Harry Follas, on Flickr IMG_6486 by Harry Follas, on Flickr

Those raised rivets are just so unrealistic...on the actual aircraft!
