RAAF Aviation Heritage Centre, Wagga Wagga

As Point Cook is the official RAAF Museum, Wagga Wagga has an "Aviation Heritage Centre". Based in the old guardhouse building placed just outside the operational RAAF Wagga Wagga base, I recommend a quick drop in if you are on the way to or from Warbirds downunder.

Meteor looks in great condition. Even though I prefer pre 1950's aircraft I do love the Pig too (still should be flying- get rid of the Flop35).

I want to add, like a lot of these sort of places it's wholly staffed by volunteers and although it was scheduled to be closed that day, one of them turned up and graciously opened it up for a group of air show bound visitors and we were invited to join them. Right place right time, the same thing happened to us in Ashburton on the way to Wanaka.
