Zac - HPG is one I used to go flying in when I was younger with Joe Keeley. In fact I was staying at his house in Acacia Bay, Taupo with him and Rosie Westerman up until the Thursday and they were killed on the weekend. I have over 120 still left to do for the poster so will post each new one here as its done.

I quite liked the Joe Keeley's machine ZK-HPG , immortalized in Rex Forresters book 'The Chopper boys'. The earlier version of his 500 had the 'V' of the NZ Forestry service modified to show a two fingered salute. Great artist work. Please don't start on art work of Bell 206 in N.Z . We'll never hear the end of it from Zac!

The 500 has always had my heart, Damon, it's just that I had better access to JetRangers!

Wow great stuff that image of the red and black Mt Hutt 500 made me do a double take! Did a number of flights in her as a passenger for some work I did in the 90's, sadly lost in an accident. I remember she had a side ways aerofoil shaped pod which stuck out one side for taking injured patients out of the mountains. Such fond memories of a magnificent machine the Hughes 500! Poor quality, copy of a slide.

Two latest ones we did. Worked with the boys at Alpine and this will be the final schemes of HNW and HMW when they are painted in a couple of months.

Hey hi. How'd you get on with the Kiwi 500 poster? Is available, and if so how could I get a copy? Also what does the big black letter mean on the side of some of these 500s mean? Cheers RV

For those that are interested we are doing a poster showcasing some of the many Hughes 500s that have graced the Kiwi skies. Working with some of the great photographers here on this board and other places I am getting a collection of various 500 photos and then my designer is creating the illustrations. Here are the first few, will post each new one as it's done. Might bring back some memories for everyone. Have just found this thread... hope its still going??! Fantastic artwork. well done. Im interested in the poster or individual image... I Have PM'd you with another Deer Recovery Machine should you have the opportunity to do it.

The one above is Version 1 of the poster. There will be about 6 or 7 versions as we have about 350-400 illustrations to do covering as many of the 500s here in NZ as we can do.
