In case anyone missed this tucked away in the darkest depths of the forum on Foreign Airforces Thread, I managed this shot of a Tornado GR4 taking off from Marham. It shows the capabilities of the Canon 100-400 Mark 2 with a 70D, more than it shows the capabilities of the person holding the camera. Saw that image in your Foreign Airforces post, love how it is so dark that the afterburner is bright and so sharp for such a slow shutter speed!

That's a great shot Pat, I've got the same lens on a 7D Mk2. I just don't have opportunity to try it out on fast jets.
What ISO/F stop was used? I assume your shooting in Shutter speed priority mode and auto ISO/ Aperture?
