New Zealand Special Operations Force exercise

Since this was a joint exercise I didn't know what forum to post it in

Land, sea and air. The New Zealand Special Operations Force (NZSOF) recently conducted a week-long exercise practising the deployment of amphibious troops to conduct operations. Various deployment methods were used with the support of the Royal New Zealand Navy, New Zealand Army and the Royal New Zealand Air Force including two Hercules aircraft, an NH90 helicopter and HMNZS Canterbur

Military Communications

One reason the Services have trouble operating jointly is that they don't appear to speak the same language.

For example, if you told Navy personnel to "secure a building," they would turn off the lights and lock the doors.

Army personnel would occupy the building so no one could enter.

Marines would assault the building, capture it, and defend it with suppression fire and close combat.

The Air Force, on the other hand, would take out a three-year lease with an option to buy.



Jokes aside... it's good seeing all three services playing nicely...
