The Midlands Air Display kicks off at Arbury Hall near Nuneaton late this afternoon with a dusk show followed by a balloon Nightglow. They anticipate about 65 "Special Shapes" plus many - possibly up to a total of 100 to attend. Tomorrow is the start of the show with Catalina, Sea Fury, Gnat, Yak3, Team Raven, Aero Pyrotechnics (who appeared at Wings Over Wairarapa), Sharkmouth P.51, Stampe Display team, Wasp, Autogyro Calidus etc. Quite a varied display programme. Little bit of rain overnight and its 0526 am so hope it all clears up.....shall make a cuppa now and get into my notes.....Cheers Ando

Great show of the balloons yesterday as well as a limited fixed wing and helo group in the early evening. Wx not perfect as it was same time last year but it was a great start to the weekend. Have to admit that my performance was below par so have to pull up my sox today. The background of the Hall is a magnificent backdrop to the event but the runway for all but the Wasp is a bit challenging as it is normally a grassed pasture.

I'll see what I can do. The nightglow was amazing and today, surrounded by quite literally 100 balloons, it was incredible. Largest special shape balloon in the world was present and dwarfed everything. 11.02pm and time for the cot

Wish I was going to be here when you arrived. Nice to share a meal and a few brown tranquilizers. I'm off tomorrow morn but back for Legends in July.....hopefully on the commentary team but they always leave that to very late...oh well. Enjoy the D Day Dacs. Would have been a magnificent sight and sound.
