An RAAF KC-30A (ASY808) has just landed at Auckland International. Is there an exercise on? Can we expect any F-18s to turn up soon as well?
Bring on the noisy birds!
Maybe an Armistice Day thing?

Carried onto Ohakea for an approach and is now well on it's way back to Aussie. There was one over here a few days ago as well so must be training flights.
Would be nice of them to bring the F35's over though!

I suspect the next time you will see noisy birds over Auckland will be when you host APEC in 2021. More likely will be Rhinos than F35's but who knows.

Nah it'll be our own air defence doing that, P-40's and SE5a's.

Rather see P40s! Don't think you'll se F35s soon. Our Transport Squadrons aren't big enough to follow with all the spare parts they'll need.

Following yesterday's achievement at Omaka, you are more likely going to have to depend on Bristol F.2bs, good multi-role type..............tongue firmly lodged in cheek. Agree with an earlier poster, more likely to get Rhinos for APEC 2021. along with a KC-30A and a Wedgetail.

Only one Wedgetail? Significant loss of capability if it goes tech.

So our jets don't get graffiti tagged again, might be good idea to base the Rhino's offshore as was done for Papua's APEC mission (based in Townsville - sore bum ..ouch!). Thinking Lord Howe Island but might be vocal local opposition, what you reckon Planecrazy? ;-)
