A great start to the series - a fascinating subject with great stories including subjects close to my heart. Top work Dave and Kieran, and thank you Ross for sharing.

Well, the Wings Over Britain podcast series is nearly done. I only have one more recording to release but I am waiting on hearing back from the interviewee who wanted to have a listen first before it goes out, and she seems to be missing my messages. I am not really sure if the series has been appreciated by listeners, it started off with lots of feedback, but it soon tailed off and I am left wondering if anyone is even listening now. But I had such an awesome time on the trip, getting to see places and meet people that I'd long hoped for. The moment I got on the plane to come home to New Zealand after my five week adventure last year I felt like I had unfinished business. I really, really wanted to return to Britain and do more. See more. Catch up with more people. Go to more places. Well, thanks to a little bit of money I inherited from my lovely Mum after her death, which came through a few months after my Wings Over Britain trip last year, I have decided to go back and do it all again! I just booked my tickets. I head over on the 18th of June, and will take in airshows at Sywell and Shuttleworth, and perhaps a few others, and I will hopefully see some museums, airfields, memorials, historic sites and people who I did not manage to fit in last year, plus I want to do a few non-aviation things too, like maybe some steam railway museums/lines, or stuff like that. Then on the 20th of July I will fly to Chicago and head up to Oshkosh, for my first ever Airventure. Any tips, leads, ideas, etc on making this a great experience will be greatly appreciated. After Airventure, I plan to head to Chino for a couple of days before I fly home on 1st of August. I don't think I will be doing another all-out Wings Over Britain podcast series this time. But it is possible that I might pick up some recordings over there for the WONZ Show. If you have any ideas, suggestions, leads, contacts, etc for the trip, please feel free to let me know.
