That one was kept relatively quiet. Richard Grace came over from the UK to do the post-restoration test flight duties, and Gavin has already done an air to air shoot from the back seat of the P-51D Mustang. I am hoping that it might make it's southern states airshow debut at Wings Over Illawarra in early May, but definitely expect that with no technical hitches, gremlins, or other unforeseen happenings to see it perform at Warbirds Down Under at Temora in October.
Well done to all involved and great to see a Spitfire flying in Australian skies wearing the wartime markings of one of Tony Gaze's WW2 Spitfires.

I think I saw Tony Gaze racing in the 2nd or 3rd NZ Grand Prix when they were held at Ardmore. Prince Bira won the first and Stirling Moss won the second the following year?

A gentleman with an incredible memory. When I had the priviledge of speaking with him he could recount with complete clarity individual actions during the war.
