I have just caught up to this thread and gone through tbe whole thing today. I am utterly flabbergasted at your skill, industry and sheer stick-to-it-iveness on display here. My most profound admiration for your abilities and determination. I will be following assiduously from now on.
Just as an aside, my father was an RNZAF Bomber Command veteran, but when he was flying for Polynesian Airlines, one of his close friends and colleagues had flown RNZAF P40s in the Pacific. I'm originally from Blenheim.
For the next project, what about a Short Stirling? For that, you'd probably need to clone yourself, and your bank account, twice.

Given I've been working on this one for over 15 years, (50% of what you see completed in the last 3 years) I'm not sure how many models I have in me. Often ask myself, why did I start this? No where near as often as the procurement officer does though....

I am sure the last three years where productivity has been boosted is partly due to the enthusiastic following you have here for every update. We all love this project so much.

This is so good, hmmmm those gaps in the bottom of the wing look primed for guns and undercarriage?

Yes, 6 x guns, undercarriage and 2 x fuel tanks. Thinking of making the tanks initially of polystyrene, covering them with some form of sealant, top coats .etc and then disolving the polystyrene cores.

More wing extrusion channel arrived while I was away. Local sources are drying up, having to get it mailed in from around the country. The unriveted sections join on extrusions fitted to the ammo bay structure. Starboard side marked out ready for match drilling and riveting.
