Yes , that was a real highlight of the show for me ( and quite unexpected ) I nearly missed it because I figured a Tiger display would be a little ho hum , so went to get some food !

This was the first time I'd seen Dave display at an airshow. I had previously seen Ryan Southam's awesome display and was blown away by how good that was, but I remember Ryan saying on the forum here that Dave's was the one he looked to as the best, so I was pleased to get to see it and was totally awed by it. I was not expecting to see that falling leave which is why there is a slight gap in the film as I evidently switched off for a few seconds to regain my balance and spacial orientation after too long looking down the viewfinder, then suddenly slammed it back on when I realised what he was doing - it was not just a simple climb for altitude. Every time that falling leaf wows me.
It's always such an amazing display, and even in recent years after seeing it many times it leaves my heart in my mouth but also absolute admiration for Dave's skills. He's a terrific guy too. I hope we see him back at an airshow again soon with his Tiger Moth.

The most significant thing I reckon for Dave to do recently was to test fly John Pheasant's Jackeroo ZK-PHZ at Tauranga. I agree, he is a terrific guy. He performs his routine in I guess whatever Tiger Moth is available. I've seen him in BLI,BLK, BMY CYC and undoubtedly others.

And of course ZK-BEN, his own one.
