Someone should check with the local LAME and ask whether the engines have been properly inhibited or are they being run every month?
If neither, there will be extra expenses for the next lucky owner ...

The JEM Aviation team with assistance from NMIT students have been preparing ZK-JBG for a flight out of Wanaka.

Last Saturday the JEM Aviation team set out on a mission to get DC-3 ZK-JBG readied for flight again after a long period of inactivity in Wanaka. A classic road trip for the boys which today culminated in the successful hot oil priming and running of both engines.
The whole job has been a lot quicker than expected with the aeroplane and systems being found to be in much better shape than expected.
Brilliant Central Otago autumn weather has aided the process which has seen much of the annual inspection able to be signed out. Sure, there are plenty of things we can improve, but she is basically a sound airframe!
Big part of the visual job has been patching the various holes on the fabric flight controls which Marty has attended to diligently. Likewise, we could not have got as much down in 2 days without our team of keen young NMIT students comprising of Josh, Richard, Freeman and Tom, all led by Jeremy Hughan.
Plan is to fly her out of Wanaka in the coming weeks!

It's flown to Kerikeri via Whakatane and Matamata this week.

I was checking the webcam at Matamata airfield yesterday morning and noticed it parked up near the gliding club, not something you see very often there! Then later in the day I heard it passing overhead Ardmore, a shame they didn't drop in for a touch and go. Maybe on the way back?

I saw a photo of it at Ardmore yesterday, looks like it's headed back south somewhere.

Saw it fly over head at Gulf Harbour Marina yesterday. Checked on Flightradar24 she was tracking back from Kerikeri.
