Lats month, the Cold War Jets Museum at Bruntingthorpe announced it was closing indefinitely. Two years ago I visited Bruntingthorpe to see what delights could be seen. It's a mad place, with thousands upon thousands of cars in long term storage, but also with aviation activity in the form of the RAF's ex-fleet of Tristars undergoing refurbishment for a US customer and the scrapping of large aircraft. Not forgetting the aircraft of the Cold War Jets Museum and other flotsam and jetsam dotted about the place, all of which made Brunty a surreal experience.
