Carried over from the 1/32 Thread: I'm building both 3D Printed models of HS.748 and HS.780 Andover side by side : 748_780_Append by Harry Follas, on Flickr Progress... Fuselage Barrels by Harry Follas, on Flickr You can see the different dimensions of the fuselage barrel of each, interesting how the cabin window dimensions and number remain unchanged for both variants, although Andover has significant extensions fwd and aft. The doors still need to be cut out in both.

Very cool! The Andover was such an elegant, graceful looking aeroplane for a turboprop. I have always found the 748 ugly by comparison.

Andover updates...working on the interior. Canvas paratrooper seats are provided with the model, however I'm toying with the idea of putting an Airfix Landrover at the front of the cabin (to camouflage some ballast needed to keep the AC on its wheels Has anybody got a spare Land rover kit they can spare ? Cabin by Harry Follas, on Flickr Some details of cockpit/Nav station & galley areas...Its funny painting up seats & interior, ZK-PBY the Catalina actually uses 16 Andover seats in its fore & aft cabins...These are quite familiar to me. Nav station by Harry Follas, on Flickr Temporarily pinned together, can see size differences Untitled by Harry Follas, on Flickr Untitled by Harry Follas, on Flickr Its the same spanned wing, however wider center-section for the larger props (more powerful Darts on Andover) and shorter outer wings

major components are now assembled on both...had to fight to get the Andover fuselage together a bit... Untitled by Harry Follas, on Flickr Untitled by Harry Follas, on Flickr. Lots of sanding, filing and filling ahead

more progress on the Hawker Siddelys, some good comparisons...The HS Andover is definitely an HS.748 on steroids! Apart from a much more 'rangy' look on 'all terrain' landing gear, look at the size of those props!! These are better builds than the previous HS.748s I have built, I suspect Oneman Model has improved the resolution of his 3D Prints... ...well the new HS.748 is complete, it had to jump the queue as it has a 'date' with its owner this weekend In fact it had to come on a 'beach holiday' with us so that I could get it completed 748 by Harry Follas, on Flickr

At least one of those in the first video came to the RNZAF - XS602, later NZ7622 - the second aircraft delivered to the RNZAF at Brize Norton.
