Located at the former RAF Winthorpe, Notts, the Newark Air Museum is another one of these great private concerns run by a bunch of dedicated collectors. The collecotion has grown enormously over the years and with a fair amount of ground belonging to the museum, expansion is sure to follow.
Vulcan XM594 was one of the Vulcans with its in-flight refuelling system restored for possible use in for Operation Black Buck during the Falklands War, although it never made it as far as Ascension Island, from where the raids were flown.
