Does anyone have a spare P51 prop and spinner in 1/72 they are prepared to sell me please? Have bought a s/h Academy P51C without knowing these vital parts are missing.
Have been compensated, but still have a '51 that'll look like a P40 in "Tora Tora Tora"!

I have a bunch of 1/72 Mustang props, half a dozen or so that would work with a C and I'm sure I can find a matching spinner and backplate. I'll grab a selection and put up a photo after breakfast.

I feel a right fool. Even though I never seem to have use for Mustang props (I used to do a lot of kitbashing) I only have one prop without a matching spinner! Not at all what I was expecting to find. Hopefully Mumbles has more luck. I’m sorry. |

I think I may have stumbled on a solution. The Academy P47D kit comes with two props: an early Curtiss-Electric and a Hamilton Standard. A P47 is now next on my shopping list.....

My idea to make a P51 prop out of a P47 one was not really a very good one, but due to this fantastic forum and mumble's generosity, the correct item arrived in my post box this morning!
I can now go ahead with my P51C and add another example to my A-36/P51 lineup!
