Lucky escape for pilot after aircraft goes down near DunedinAmber Allott 14:40, Jan 13 2021 A pilot has escaped without injury after a small aircraft crashed near Dunedin. Emergency services were called to the Taieri Aerodrome, in Mosgiel, about 12.45pm on Wednesday. A police spokeswoman said a small aircraft had gone down, with just a pilot onboard. HAMISH MCNEILLY/STUFF - A pilot was lucky to escape serious injury when they crashed in a paddock near the Taieri Aerodrome, south of Dunedin, on Wednesday.

The first report I saw from Stuff said something about the plane had crashed as a result of flipping over... Not the brightest are they? Anyway glad to see no one hurt and hopefully that damage can be put right.

I think the length of the grass might have had something to do with it.
