Hi everyone, after a few years with the idea rolling around in my head about how to tackle it, and then several months last year as I nutted out the detail and worked with my graphic design expert, my nose art t-shirt 'business' is now live!
I've always wanted to create a range of nose art t-shirts featuring less well-known subjects (i.e. no 'Memphis Belle' etc), but also wanted to somehow give back to projects and organisations who look after the aircraft and history we all love. Wear Wright Stuff is the result.
Each t-shirt purchased directly supports a restoration or organisation. Several in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the UK and the USA are already on board and waiting patiently for me to get designs organised.
You'll be pleased to know the first three shirts support the preservation of the Smith P-40N 'Gloria Lyons' in Omaka. All profit from the sale of this series go to the project (that's A$5 per t-shirt). Another shirt design, the most advanced of the new ideas I have, will support the NZAFM (they've been really helpful).
I ordered some shirts before going live and am very impressed with the quality of the material and printing. Sizing seems a little on the small side so please check the measurements.
There will be more designs appearing soon (Liberator, Wellington, Catalina, Firefly, Vengeance and Seafire are in the mix due to availability of good source material and interest from a relevant group). Please spread the word about what Wear Wright Stuff does if you can. I also welcome any ideas you might have for new designs, especially if you can also suggest a project/group to support.
The website is a bit basic, but it allows purchasing so that's what matters. Wear your passion for aviation history!
