I went up to Ardmore today regardless, with Stu and Robyn Russell, and met up there with mates Bevan Dewes, Brett Nicholls, Dave Phillips, Pete McCombe, and Aidan Cartwright and his father Gareth and grandfather Wayne. Warbirds was SOOO busy, people were streaming in in their droves, loads of families. I was amazed considering the weather was so poor that so many people turned out. Great stuff, good to see so many people enjoying the museum even when there was no flying. And great to see so many youngsters discovering our military aviation history too.

While Gavin was up they did photo flights yesterday with the WWI machines. I saw the first one from Corsair Lane (they stayed above the airport), then got the expected fun angles as they landed on the grass. The cleared trees have removed sometimes-useful shade, but improved photo angles lots!
