COMMANDO RAID

Lieutenant-Commander H. J. C. George, of Auckland, was in command of the landing operations of the commando forces in the recent raid in the Boulogne-Le Toquet area of the French coast.
“It was a most interesting party, with plenty of fireworks,” he said. “That is all I can say.”
Lieutenant-Commander George took part in the first raid on the Lofoten Islands, in Norway, and in several other raids.
A member of the Auckland legal firm of Lovegrove and George and a former commodore of the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron. Lieutenant-Commander Harold George belongs to a well-known shipping family of Northcote.
