Peter McCully has given me permission to post this awesome artwork he did in 1986. I recall that Warbirds used it for their poster and programmes for their 1990 airshow. I have always loved this image.

I have always loved this image. Fantastic artwork. I still have my souvenir from my first Ardmore show, attached. It included my first memory of the Mustang, being flown at what felt like zero feet over the crowd line, Bristol Freighter parachute drop and I believe Stuart Tantrum's wonderfully colourful Fokker Dr1 flic.kr/p/2m13goe

The 1986 date is interesting as ZK-SFR was only imported into NZ that year, and wouldn't fly until 1988. Interesting that the choice of colour scheme identity for it was already known...
