Well I have to say I'm confused, of all the flights I have done in the past, I have never once seen an option to have corn chips. it's always been just a Cookie Time biscuit, or on recent flights, nothing. simpleflying.com/air-new-zealand-domestic-catering-changes/I remember the times I'd fly in the 1990's from Hamilton to Wellington on a Boeing 737 and get a full meal, change planes there to fly to Christchurch, and get another full meal served. And they were always a different meal, and always really nice. I loved the cheese and crackers they used to give out.

I rarely fly on the Regional Services except WN-NS and I don't think anyone would expect roast dinner on a 25 minute flight...or would they?
However, I can't remember the last Main Trunk flight that I WASN'T offered the blasted corn chips (except when I fluked Koru Hour)and I'd be delighted to see the end of them!

I preferred the corn chips to the cookie to be honest. But it's rather a trivial loss in the current environment!

I am told by an Air New Zealand pilot mate that there are differences in the food options, the Air NZ regional (Nelson/cook) have just tea, coffee and a cookie. The Jet service has same but corn chip option plus the Koru hour beer/wine, etc.

Corn chips. They're like eating cardboard!

I don't fancy the thought of eating cardboard chips so would prefer the cookie and tea!

My two cents worth... It is all rubbish, I just take my own snacks these days. I will have the drink so they can take my packaging away.

What has always amused me is that when they announce the available options they can always make it sound like this is something quite new and wonderful, never been offered before. Must be a major part of the training syllabus.

Exactly, I have know idea how they do it. As it almost sounds like we're going to have an amazing feast...But no it's only cardboard corn chips and well to be honest teeth breaking if not slightly used by dated dried biscuits...
