Thanks very much to Craig Brankin for bringing this to attention, I have not seen it since I was about 10 years old. Spectacular flying, spectacular filming, spectacular editing, and an amazing piece of Kiwi history - live deer capture in Fiordland by Hughes 500 in 1980. Pure adrenaline, Kiwi style!

The sound of the blades during that first belly-cam shot...WOW!

Does anyone know who the pilot and the net-shooter were?

I believe the pilot was Doug Maxwell and the shooter was Kevin Hallet.

Watching this the other night it struck me how much Doug Maxwell in this resembles Bevan Dewes! To my eye, anyway.
