The mystery has finally been solved: Chinese modelmaker Border Model had announced they are releasing the Wingnut Wings 1/32 Lancaster with full interior. Hoping for pre-orders this Christmas, no indication of price or if it will include Upkeep parts. I will upload photos tomorrow morning on the PC if needed, in the meantime here’s the Facebook post: /?d=n

Apparently the outer wings can be left un-cemented to allow one to display it in a smaller space. Would kind of kill the effect for me!

Such a shame that the machine could not be produced by WNW.....

The WN people were quite pedantic about detail and asked for close up photos of many internal details like the back of the control column and the hinge arrangements at its base. Taking these and others inside the Lancaster at MoTAT I found that I didnt know the aircraft that well after all.

FWIW- I've seen some sprue shots on the modelling news (I think) about a week back, a couple of them had WNW on them, and were as (ex) marketed as such

I'd seen that too, I imagine the tooling will be adjusted! Have any of the Meng Fokker Dr.I sprues got WNW trademarks on them?

Looking on Uncle Google I see at least three different prices quoted for this kit, they are $1199, $360 and $76.47, go figure!

The links provided by Planecrazy are for the HKM(HongKongModels) 1/32 Lancaster, not the ex WNW model. Yes, there really are 2 different 1/32 scale Lancaster models!. The price for the Border(exWNW) for this part of the world is likely over NZ$1,000, Unless you order in bulk....
