Was channel surfing last night and on the Choice channel in the Outback Truckers show there was a husband and wife team tasked with collecting large portions of a B 25 wreck in the north of Western Australia. The episode ended with the wreckage loaded on to a road train. There were also the remains of a Hudson there also but they did not have a permit to remove that. The job is to continue in the next episode

Watched part 2. The remains were destined for Adelaide. If its a restoration job I'd say good luck to them. The wreckage was in far worse condition than the stuff that came out of New Guinea. Scrub fires certainly hadn't done it any favours and the fuselage had broken in half.

I have not seen it but I am told it is Reevers aviation, who have the B-25 that they got from the USA some years ago and did nothing with.

Regardless, Outback Truckers is an appalling programme; one of the most cringe-worthy. The flagrant misrepresentation of simple engineering defects/breakages and the gross exaggeration of gradients, weather conditions and such like are truly painful. The only genuine bits are the thickness of the drivers.

The recovered bits were a B-25D N5-161 named Mississippi Dream and was recovered in December 2017
OJ, you forgot to mention the dumb nick-names!

Reevers did work on that B-25 from the USA, just static at this stage. They did great work on it. Saw pics of it, that was years ago though.
