Nice work! I have that on my to-do list in 1/48. Felt very privileged to see the 1:1 machine at WOW10.

Thanks Zac, my model is based on the Hasegawa 1:48 moulding which is a very fine kit. I had to struggle getting the the P & W 1830 engine into the cowl but other than that it was a straight forward build.

Very nice work, I'm surprised that the model actually has a P&W engine in it to match the real aircraft.

I had to struggle getting the the P & W 1830 engine into the cowl Bravo, that's what I was planning on doing too! Those extra details really help.

Well now Mark and Zac, it's more accurate to describe the engine as a pruned 1830 engine. I did thin the cowl walls until my nerves gave out. I then moved on to plan B, plaining the cylinder heads until they just fitted.
