Updated NZDF Medals Posters Available
"The newly-updated 2021 New Zealand Defence Force Medals posters are available now and are free. The set consists of three A1 sized posters in full colour and covers all New Zealand medallic awards from 1863 to now.
The posters were last updated in 2004. Since then there have been new Royal Honours introduced, recognition for recent operational missions, and retrospective awards approved for service from 1945 to 2004 as grievances have been resolved.
The poster set is an invaluable educational resource for people to identify the medals worn by veterans – both currently serving, and those who have served in the New Zealand Armed Forces in the past. It will also assist in answering medal queries from veterans, visitors and families.
The posters are also available free for anyone to download as a pdf file at the medals website (Link)
Members of the public can obtain physical copies of the poster sets from the Navy Museum, the National Army Museum, the Air Force Museum and the Auckland War Memorial Museum.
Sets of the posters have been sent directly to NZ Cadet Force units, RSA Clubs and local and regional museums.
