Both were Old Flying Machine Company aircraft - bravo Ray and Mark for those choices! I remember seeing the Harvard in the NZ3009-inspired scheme for the first time and thinking "I don't care it's not accurate, that looks cool!". I hadn't seen her in all-green before, though.
And for clarification the photos were taken in 1989, 1999 and 1995 respectively.

There is a Corsair and Kittyhawk stashed away at Hood that are kiwis dressed as non Kiwis, wonder how this is progressing?

She wore a couple of variations - the more familiar USN-style tri-colour and a very interesting pale blue/grey. I've always been curious about the inspiration behind that latter scheme.

I wonder what the drag coefficient of a kiwi is, and whether facing forwards or backwards is preferable?

facing forward provides less wind resistance as the feathers tend to lay backwards. A good example of what can go wrong with facing the wrong way was observed on several occasions by 41 Sqn dispatchers when launching live chickens from Freighters for the Gurkhas waiting at the DZ. "They became self plucking:

A quick follow-on from the NZ6361 imposter. It's Strikemaster Mk.87 G-BXFP, formerly of the Botswana Air Force as OJ5 and used to look like its sister OJ4, which was imported into the UK at the same time, seen here at Duxford. OJ4
