Going through some pic’s these taken back in 2013, I see from their Web site the Point Cook Museum is closed until June 2022 as they are improving inferstructure visitor access and installing new exhibits, great museum with a large diverse collection. BE 2 Farman Avro 504 Hawker Demon Avro Cadet Boomerang Wingless, rudderless but fully restored Catalina A24-104 Boston Be interested to hear if anyone knows was the conversion to the strafer nose a field mod and did they just paint over the perspex? A28-8 flown by FL Bill Newton the only RAAF airman awarded a VC in the SWPA. More tomorrow.......

Gypsy engine tester The Walrus a true machine of intrigue, seems hard to believe she was designed by the same chap who came up with the Spitfire. These pic’s were taken a while back, be interesting to see how the Mosi is progressing? They made sure the Winjeel was easy to work on with the hinged cowling. CT4 Aermacchi and Vampire Vampire Canberra Mirage Phantom F111

Beautiful photos of a place I'd love to visit, Peter!
Correct me if I'm wrong: the Maurice Farman is original but the Avro (AJD Engineering?) and BE.2 are replicas?

Thanks Zac, you are spot on, BE2 replica, the Farman 30% orginal parts, Avro 504 you are correct a replica AJD engineering. It is a great museum and will be better by the sounds after the refurb, some of the aircraft are very hidden and difficult to see. You could do Point Cook, Moorabin and Tyabb, a bit of driving across Melbourne. Then I believe it would be worth it pop up to Wangaratta to Australia's P40 factory, one place I hope to visit next winter, got close last year but Covid stymied that plan.

Of course, isn't there a couple of other restorations in the Liberator shed, maybe a Boomerang?
