Brazilian A-4 Skyhawks are still operational and in action. The link below brings an extensive report on the operation and modernization program of the Brazilian A-4s, as well as tons of photos. I recommend the visit, well-written report, with text rich in details and many detailed photos of the aircraft. aviacaoemfloripa.blogspot.com/2022/01/falcoes-do-mar-em-florianopolis.htmlBest regards!

Brilliant article, great photos and interesting stats.
The comparison between the Navy's Bahia and HMNZS Canterbury makes for interesting reading too (via Wikipedia)

Great article to get update on Brazil and South American defence generally. Is this now the worlds relatively benign region our part of the world used to be? Nice to see the A4s battling on and updated even though they are land based only now with I believe the replacement (ex HMS Ocean) a LHD and not capable of fixed wing ops. The purchases of used types by Brazil and Chile I believe is really sensible from a budget POV, hope it’s working out operationally. The sale of Aus’s ex FFGs and just announced Ex RAF Sentry aircraft to Chile come to mind. Having said all that re buying seconds Brazil has an amazing home grown aviation industry we can only admire from afar.
