In some notices in 1947 and 1948 in the Waikato Independent newspaper (which was Cambridge's local paper) at various events like reunions and meetings it states H. Duran represented the Cambridge branch of the Air Force Association. He was obviously ex-RNZAF but I know nothing about him. I found an advert for his Cambridge Watch and Clock Depot, so he must have been a watchmaker in civil life.
Does anyone know anything about H. Duran please?

Some additional info here ( link) and here ( link), and indeed it seems he was a 'watch maker' in civilian life..
