Text from the Facebook link (thanks Dave) CARBURY VS ARNOLD Our Adlerangriff and Spitfire Mk.Ia ProfiPack scale kits offer markings for two pilots that most likely met in combat. Brian J. Carbury of No. 603 Squadron RAF and Ernst Arnold of 3./JG 27. Carbury scored 15½ kills during the Battle of Britain. On August 31st, 1940, he shot down five enemy aircraft over the span of three sorties, becoming one of three Allied ‘Ace of the Day’ pilots able to claim that status during the BoB. Just one day before, on August 30, he engaged three 109s at 25,000 feet over Deal. He scored hits on rear Messerschmitt that glided for east coast with propeller stopped and white vapour behind. Fw. Arnold performed landing at Westwood Court, near Faversham, Kent. The aircraft was placed on display in Exeter for fundraising. Find out more about both airmen and their machines in our scale kits and extended stories in Eduard INFO magazines! Link: Eduard 82151 Spitfire Mk.1a
