A couple of shows of interest from WW2TV on YouTube - presentations by historians etc hosted by Paul Woodadge (a very widely-read Normandy tour guide) and with live Q&A.
About Caribbean and West African aircrew, but an interesting to think about attitudes to Maori aircrew.
Because of all the historical research done on the Maori Battalion, a lot of the source material about non-white troops in South Africa relates to the two visits of a few days by the 28th.
And Woody has organised a NZ week, mainly 2 NZ Div but a show planned on 488 (NZ) Squadron. I'll do a separate thread when the shows are announced.

Yesterday's show with Canadian R. Scott Sheffield has a comparison with how other western allies made use of their minority populations, including the unusually politically strong Maori. Also call-outs to the previous day's show on minorities in the Soviet Red Army. Minor point, don't worry about the typo on the slide, he knows it was 28 (Maori) Battalion, not 29.
